Announced in September 2017, it's a 1983 vintage from Old Pulteney - sounds very appealing, doesn't it? This was first left to age in American oak casks before being transferred over to Spanish oak casks which previously held Oloroso Sherry to finish.
Nose:Treacle, nectarine, cacao, a hint of zesty mango, sherry and sea salt.
Palate:Salted caramel brownie, raisin, ginger snaps, star anise, hickory, cardamom.
Finish:Mature oak sticks around with waves of sherry and honey.
