Linkwood has a strong cult following and is much sought after by whisky enthusiasts. It is considered a noble malt, produced at one of the region’s oldest distilleries.
It was founded in open land but is now part of the expanding town of Elgin. Nevertheless, sited by a reservoir, it is in a pretty area.
The malt can serve up the odd surprise, such as aniseed and smokiness, but it tends to be complex, with sweet and sour notes and some pleasant fruity and grassy notes.
*All Fable Whiskies come in a beautifully embossed box with each bottle wrapped in durable gifting paper, and topped with a rubberised wax seal – which reflects the truly great quality of this spirit.
